READY TO GO HOME!!!

Its Thursday morning and time to go home!!!
Patti, Tim and Cassidy got to leave the hospital today, here are some pics from the "trip". We stopped at Great Grandpa Bartlett's house on the way home so he could see her, he Loved her!!!
Everyone have a great weekend...I'm going to let Cassidy settle in before Grandma starts taking anymore pics.

GREAT HAIR!!!!!

Ok folks...who has the nicest hair????
I think they both do, Cassidy looks so cute with her hair ribbon in and everytime I see her hair sticking up it reminds me of Ross. He is Grandma's (Debby's) favorite funny man aka Ross The Intern from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno :-).
Cassidy, Patti and Tim are doing GREAT, they will all be coming home on Thursday. We are going to stop and see Great Grandpa Bartlett (Deb's Dad), and Aunt Sue (Deb's sister) on the way home from the hospital. I will post pictures of them tomorrow, my Dad is soooooooo CUTE!!

And what a beautiful gift Cassidy Joi is, the Lord has blessed Patti, Tim and all of our families with a beautiful new addition.



Patti went into labor about 4am this morning (Tuesday), we got to the hospital about 6am. About 7am the nurse suggested Patti go for a walk so we went up to see the new babies in the nursery, and while we were standing there her water decided to break. We went back to her room where her contractions continued.
At 3:33pm' Cassidy Joi Gallup/Lewanda was born, her hair is so long that Dr.Wolfe said her hair came out before she started to.
Cassidy weighed in at 7#12oz. and is 20 inches long, with LONG black curly hair and big blue eyes, she's PERFECT!!!

UPDATE

Well, now they are not going to induce her on Tuesday as they said. Patti has to go to the doctors office on Tuesday afternoon for a "non stress" test. They will re-admit her to the hospital on Wednesday night and try those pills in her cervix again, if she doesn't dilate this time they will induce her or do a c-section on Wednesday. Everyone is getting a little annoyed with the doctors office!! I'll update after the visit to the doctors office.

STUBBORN WOULD BE THE WORD FOR TODAY

I think I should start today's post with the definition of STUBBORN...
unreasonably obstinate; obstinately unmoving: a stubborn child.
That is right from the dictionary...word for word!!!!

Patti and Tim are home again, the doctor tried 3 times to get her cervix to dilate and it won't move. They can't induce her if her cervix won't dilate so they sent her home and told them to come back on Tuesday if nothing happens between now and then and they will try again. When they go in on Tuesday if nothing happens they will do a c-section. They are both exhausted from being up most of the night, lets hope and pray Cassidy decides to come on her own very soon!!!

PATTI IS IN AND READY TO ROLL!!

We got to the hospital about 7pm. We had to go in thru the emergency room and Patti was not the only pregnant one there...there had to be at least 15 women waiting to be taken up to the maternity unit!! One of the pics is some of them waiting in line for the elevator, her hospital room is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!
Patti is still only dilated to one so they gave her some pills that will "ripen her cervix" and make it start dilating quicker. We all went and saw the new babies in the nursery, they are all so cute. Saturday morning they will start the IV that will give her the drugs to induce labor. The nurse told us we might as well go home and come back in the morning because it will be a while yet. They gave Patti a sleeping pill and hooked her up to the monitors, Tim even has a bed in the room to sleep on :-). Tim promised to call us if anything happens during the night.

WE ARE ON OUR WAY!!!

Well, we are on our way to Butterworth Hospital.
Patti, Tim, Bob and Debby...soon to be "Grandpa & Grandma", and Josh and Krystal are all going. Josh and Krystal got here this afternoon, I've haven't had a Josh hug for 2 months!!!! For those of you who don't know, Josh is our son (Patti's older brother) and Krystal is his girlfriend of almost 4 years. I'am so excited, I can't wait. We will call Tim's parents in Florida as soon as Cassidy is born and post pictures as soon as possible.Keep Patti and Tim in your prayers !!

CASSIDY WILL BE HERE SATURDAY!!!!!

Patti,Tim,and I all went to Patti's doctors appointment today. They did a "non-stress test", basically just hooked her up to a monitor to make sure the baby was doing fine. She is now 9 days past due so Friday night at 7pm she is going to be admitted to Butterworth Hospital and given medicine to help her dilate faster. Cassidy should be born on Saturday if all goes well (unless she decides to come before then). Everyone here is so excited!!! I will update as soon as she arrives...I have the camera all ready to go!!!

HERE'S THE SCOOP......

Ok...here's the scoop... Patti and I went to her doctors appointment today, she is dilated to 1 and the doctor said the baby's head was right there and she could touch it. So she is scheduled to be induced on Friday, Aug. 25th but we are hoping she delivers naturally before that. Her and Tim keep walking everyday hoping that will help things along, the doctor said it does help. I will post more when we have some news...Thanks :-)

NO BABY GIRL YET!!!

Well today was Patti's due date and no baby yet!!! If she doesn't deliver between now and the 26th of August they will induce her on that day. She has another doctor's visit Friday afternoon, maybe we will know more then.
I will update as soon as anything happens...hopefully it will be to announce that Cassidy Joi has arrived.

FUN AT THE GOLF COURSE!!

Bob and I decided to take Patti and Robby golfing with us today at Maple Hill Golf Course. We had so much fun!!!! Bob and Robby were in one cart and Patti and I were in another one, I tried to drive over tree roots, bumps etc. hoping it would encourage Patti to go into labor...what better place then a golf course. I already have bought Cassidy's first set of golf clubs, Grandma is going to teach her as soon as she is old enough. Patti didn't golf so she became my driver and caddy, we couldn't stop laughing at times which didn't do much for Bob's golf game :-). After golf we went to the Round Robin for supper...great burgers and unlimited steak fries and drinks. A little pricey but good food. Here are a few pictures of our little golf outing.

ONLY 5 DAYS TO GO!!!

I took Patti to the Doctor again today...our usual Friday outing (Tim works on Fridays now so he can't go). Dr. Wolfe said Patti has begun to dialate but if she goes past her due date (Aug.16th), they will induce her on August 26th. I just hope she pops SOON!!!! I'm going to send the link to our blog to Tim's parents and grandma in Florida so they can see Cassidy as soon as she is born.
Patti and I went shoe shopping and then to lunch after we were done, but then is was time to head home...Patti was having "Tim withdrawal" :-). They are both doing great, Tim works up at the Gerald Ford Airport now as a cook in the Home Turf Bar and Resturant, he loves his job and they like having him because he such a hard worker.
Here is a picture I took of Patti and Tim about a month ago at their baby shower, and then the other one is of them with Tim's sister Char and her 2 kids Kayle and Nathan. Hopefully my next post will include pictures of Cassidy Joi !!

First Gallup Family Post...

Bob and I(Debby) decided it was time to start a family blog. We have been married for just over 30 years and are parents to 4 grown children...Andrew, Joshua, Robby, and Patti.

We both work full-time and have different days off but we manage to find time to spend together and with friends. We like to golf, play cards, read, and play with our 10 month old miniature long-haired dachshund - Divot. She is all black and really does look like a "divot". Holly, the Chinese Shar-pei we had passed away on St. Patrick's day at the age of 15 years, we all miss her very much !!

Our daughter Patti and her fiance Tim are expecting our first grandchild in 11 days, they are having a girl and her name will be Cassidy Joi (Joi is after my sister who passed away from ovarian cancer 5 years ago). We are all very excited, I will post her picture as soon as she arrives .
