FIRST WEEKEND GETAWAY OF THE GOLF SEASON

Bob and I went up to Garland Resort which is in Lewiston Michigan, just south of Gaylord. We were invited to come up and spend the weekend, all we had to do is listen to their presentation about buying property on the edge of one of their 5 golf courses, and Bob was given a FREE Tour Edge V25 golf driver. We had a great time together...pizza and wine on Saturday night, we had our own in room jacuzzi tub, king size 4 poster bed, fireplace and much more!!!
We plan on going again this summer since they gave us 2 free rounds of 18 holes of golf :-) .

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what happens when you leave your adult son Joshua in charge of watching the chicken on the stove. I had to go pick Bob up from work and then we went and played bingo at the Disabled Veterans Legion where Bob is a life time member. Joshua said he would watch the chicken until it was done boiling (I was going to make chicken teriyaki egg rolls with it), so I figured he was responsible enough to leave him in charge of this task. HELLO...he lived on his own for a year!!!
NO...he got distracted, the Kentwood Police were outside our house because some drunk guy was urinating in the street!!!! Of course it took 6 cruisers to take one guy to jail, go figure.
Anyways, he forgot about the chicken and left with some of his friends that came over. Our other son Robby comes home 3 HOURS LATER and the house is just minutes from going up in flames, the smoke was so thick you couldn't see through it. Here a few pictures of this crazy night...

Patti and I took Cassidy to get her 6mo. pictures taken today. She is just too cute and loves to have her picture taken. I will post my favorites right now and I will post some more in a day or two...ENJOY!!!

BAG DOG...

Our son Andrew's idea of entertaining the dog is putting her squeaky toys in an empty McDonald's bag. Our dog Divot is a miniature long-haired dachshund, and she LOVES to play...no matter what the game is!!

ONLY IN MICHIGAN

As most of you know, I work at the Gerald Ford International Airport. Well...for 4 Michigan winters I have seen this "DO NOT ENTER" sign and I finally took a picture of it this year. For those of you who live in Michigan...its not a big surprise!! I was going to send it to Jay Leno but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

CASSIDY AND GANDY GOOSE :-)

When we went to the golf show last month we ran into Roger Gieseck, the PGA Golf Pro from Shanty Creek. He was the one we golfed with over Labor Day weekend when we went up there with Andy Rent and Chuck Latour from the River 100.5FM. He remembered that Cassidy was born just before we went up to Shanty Creek, so he made sure to get our address so he could send a Gandy Goose (the Shanty Creek mascot) doll to us for her.
