CASSIDY THE "HAM"...

We went over to Tim and Patti's house tonight so I could watch Ross the Intern on Celebrity Fit Club, we don't have cable so I can't watch it at home.

Of course most of our time was spent playing with Cassidy, she is so cute and good natured, she rarely cries or fusses. I took a couple cute pictures of her...one is what I call her gymnast pose, she rolls up on one side and poses. The other two I took when Patti was feeding her cereal, she bites the spoon every time you put the spoon in her mouth. I took a close up one of her face so you can see her new teeth too. She is defiantly developing a cute personality...very easy going, smiling all the time, and very inquisitive!!

A VERY NICE NOTE...

As I told you before...I have making "Chemo Quilts" in honor of my sister Joi who lost her battle with ovarian cancer 6 years ago. Well, I sold my first one and when the lady who bought it got it she sent me this very thoughtful e-mail, it made my day!!

Debbie,

The quilt arrived today--perfect!! Thank you so very much for relisting this for me!! I knew I had to buy it when I saw it, but had no idea why. I found out a few days later an acquaintance is starting chemo next week & she has no family and very little support. Needless to say, I'm giving the quilt to her (she's about 90 pounds going into chemo). You are doing a wonderful thing by allowing the light of your sisters spirit to remain eternal through these quilts that other's will use and enjoy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart & blessings to you and yours!!

Regards,

Sydnie Mischel Riley

FIRST DAY ON THE GOLF COURSE!!!

First real day on the golf course today...the weather was PERFECT!!
Bob and I golfed at Maple Hill Golf Course today...it was WONDERFUL!! We have been to the driving range a couple times this season but today we golfed our first 9 holes. We both did really well, Bob used the driver he got free at the Garland Resort and he just nails the ball with it, no more slices for him :-).

PRESIDENTIAL MOTORCADE...

After Bob and our son Andrew picked me up from work tonight, we went over to Crash Fire and Rescue (the airport fire department) and we were able to see the Presidential Motorcade parked inside the fire barn. These cars and SUV's were amazing!!! They had two Presidential Secret Service men guarding them and one of them offered to take our picture in front of President Bush's car. I took a couple pictures with my cell phone so their a little blurry but still very cool!! President Bush flies in on Friday to speak at East Grand Rapids High School.

MAKING "CHEMO QUILTS"

When my sister Joi was so sick and going through chemo, she wanted a small lap quilt that would be light weight yet warm enough for her. Well, I being the seamstress in the family made her a beautiful purple quilt, or as she called it, her "Chemo Quilt". I have a picture of her with the quilt when my sister Sue and I gave it to her. She made me promise to keep it and not send it to heaven with her so I still have it and that quilt is full of wonderful memories!!
So...I have started making "Chemo Quilts" that fit on your lap and are light weight and warm. I have made 2 so far, and one has already sold on Ebay!! A portion of any profit made will be donated to The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
There is a picture of a pink one (which sold), and a new one with pastel colors on one side and purple pansy flannel fabric on the other side. Each quilt is made with cotton on one side, contrasting flannel fabric on the other side and light weight natural cotton batting quilted between.
You can see one on Ebay right now, just search for Chemo Quilt or search by seller...maxine729 (my user ID on Ebay) and you can view it.
Let me know what you think. Thanks, Debby

OUR 31st WEDDING ANNIVERSARY :-)

Today is our 31st wedding anniversary...but if I recall correctly there was no snow in April 31 years ago. It was a warm sunny day, thank goodness!!!
It is so nice being married to your best friend, we have been through so much together in 31 years and it has been wonderful to have each other to lean on.
I had a friend from work scan one of our wedding pictures so I could post it here and then a recent picture of us taken in January when we were on our cruise.

SPOILING CASSIDY AGAIN

We watched Cassidy tonight so Patti and Tim could celebrate Tim's birthday with his family. She was awake the entire time and was an absolute Angel!!! Of course, Grandma had to read her favorite book to her "Consider it Golf", its about some bears that go golfing together. Cassidy now has 3 teeth and she knows how to use them as Grandma found out the hard way...I forgot how razor sharp baby teeth are!!! I hope everyone has a blessed Easter :-)

MY SISTER JOI :-)

As most of you know, our daughter Patti named her daughter(our first grandchild) after my sister Joi, who passed away from ovarian cancer 6 years ago. I have a ton of pictures of Joi and I together before she passed away but they were always with my 35mm camera (neither of us had a digital camera back then). So, I found one of my favorite pictures of Joi and a friend from work scanned it for me and e-mailed it to me. It was taken at the Meijer Garden's Butterfly Exhibit, Joi loved butterflies and her and I and our other sister Sue would go see them every year.
So...here is a picture of Joi, my sister, soul mate and very best friend!!

IMPORTANT INFO FOR EVERYONE!!!

I'm not real sure this much information should be availble to the general public. Are there not too many parinod people all ready?
Having said that, it is almost impossible to get this and not search your nieghborhood.

www.FamilyWatchDog.us Pass this on

When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as a small icon of a house. There will be red, blue and green dots surrounding your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address and the description of the crime he or she has committed.

The best thing is that you can show your children these pictures and see how close these people live to your home or school.
