MAKING "CHEMO QUILTS"

When my sister Joi was so sick and going through chemo, she wanted a small lap quilt that would be light weight yet warm enough for her. Well, I being the seamstress in the family made her a beautiful purple quilt, or as she called it, her "Chemo Quilt". I have a picture of her with the quilt when my sister Sue and I gave it to her. She made me promise to keep it and not send it to heaven with her so I still have it and that quilt is full of wonderful memories!!
So...I have started making "Chemo Quilts" that fit on your lap and are light weight and warm. I have made 2 so far, and one has already sold on Ebay!! A portion of any profit made will be donated to The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
There is a picture of a pink one (which sold), and a new one with pastel colors on one side and purple pansy flannel fabric on the other side. Each quilt is made with cotton on one side, contrasting flannel fabric on the other side and light weight natural cotton batting quilted between.
You can see one on Ebay right now, just search for Chemo Quilt or search by seller...maxine729 (my user ID on Ebay) and you can view it.
Let me know what you think. Thanks, Debby
