CHEMO QUILTS FOR A FRIEND AND HER DAUGHTERS
A friend that I have worked with for several years is going through a rough time right now. Three years ago his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was pregnant with their youngest daughter. She waited until the baby was delivered safely to start any type of chemo so as not to harm their daughter. Just recently she has had a recurrence and they have their hands full, their girls are now 3 and 5 years old. Jodi has to fly out every 3 weeks for chemo treatments and John, my co-worker stays home to take care of the girls and work when he can.
This weekend I made Jodi a "Chemo Quilt" and then I made miniature ones to match for the two little girls. My friend Diane embroidered their names on them for me.
The fabric is really cool, it says "The Pink Ribbon Sisterhood...supporting each other in the ultimate fight for life".
Enjoy the pictures, and keep John and Jodi and their family in your prayers.
